Apple might have been the first to put a mouse and a commercially available computer together in one seamless package, but in its 25-year life, the Mac mouse hasn’t really improved. In fact, with its RSI-inducing, carpal-tunnel-worrying new Magic Mouse, it could be said that the current iteration is the worst yet. Above you see the two ends...

Review: Apple’s 27-inch iMac and Magic Mouse Make an Excellent Pair
Apple’s new 27-inch iMac is a speed demon, especially the model shipping with the new Core i7 processor. Even better, the latest iMacs ship with the new Magic Mouse, Apple’s first single-button mouse that gets it right thanks to the powers of multitouch. Wired.com’s Mike Calore is mesmerized with his Core i7-powered iMac. He...

Rumor: Apple to Ship Multitouch Mice With New iMacs Soon
Apple may soon introduce a mouse featuring multitouch technology, like that seen in its iPhones, iPods and MacBook trackpads. The rumored multitouch mouse might apply the inertia feedback...

RIP Ikea Fira
[photo credit: Craftster user Romey14 ] Sadly, as of this month Ikea has discontinued the Fira, a handy little set of wooden box drawers that everyone loved customizing. Apple Files for ‘Magic Trackpad’ Trademark
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Friday published a trademark application for the term “Magic Trackpad,” which was filed earlier this week by Apple. The filing might allude to a rumored product we first heard about last year. As is often the case with trademark filings, the item described by the application is too broad to draw...

Etsy Finds: City vs. Country Mouse
One of my favorite childhood stories was based on Aesop’s fable, The City Mouse and the Country Mouse . I always had a hard time deciding if I wanted to live in the fast-paced city or a laid-back little country town when I grew up. While the city ’s culture and endless entertainment is hard to resist, I can also see myself crocheting...

Macworld Expo 2010 Caters to Apple Fans — Without Apple
Like a Star Trek convention minus Leonard Nimoy, Macworld Conference and Expo 2010 kicks off Tuesday at San Francisco’s Moscone Center with no official presence from Apple. Though the event will lack a Steve Jobs keynote and won’t have an Apple product introduction to generate buzz, 250 vendors will be showcasing Apple-related products...
